FIFT was conceived in the creative mind of Mrs. Thara Ranjith, a costume designer from Mysore. She is also an artist interested in painting, embroidery, handicrafts and all such creative works.
The first unit of FIFT; which is also the first one of its kind in North Malabar; started functioning at Kannur in the year 2000. With a motto to provide quality andupdated fashion education with theory practical classes, FIFT became the most popular and leading Fashion Designing Institute in Kannur.
Fashion designing being an inevitable need of apparel industry not only calls for highly creative mind but also for effective and convincing communication skills which will help one to explain the designs and patters to the artisans and manufactures.
Our training goal is that a student can choose to use his/her creativity in the garment industry or can capitalize the ability in his/her own entrepreneurship.

Industrial Pattern making Traditional embroideries from different states of India viz; Kutch Work from Gujarath, Mirror Work from Rajasthan, Chikankari from Lucknow, Kasoothi from Karanataka etc.
